A couple of weekends ago, I checked off an item on my list of goals for 2016: I participated as a vendor at an event! The Great Cloth Diaper Change takes place every year with the goal of setting a world record for the most cloth diapers changed at once. This event takes place worldwide, which is incredible to me, and as someone who values natural living and making choices that lessen our impact on the environment, cloth diapering speaks to me! When I heard they were looking for business sponsors, I decided to get on board.
Marigold, a super cute children’s boutique in Leonardtown, hosted the event for the Southern Maryland chapter. I was pretty nervous going into it, as is typical for me with any new situation. Not really knowing what to expect, I planned a little table, ordered some of my favorite prints, and convinced my best friend to accompany me. She’s the best!
It would have been way easier to give into fear and opt out of doing this, but I’m learning that looking fear in the face is when growth happens. I learned lots about participating as a vendor, I networked with several other local businesses, and I met lots of sweet families!
