🍽 Food: Pack a picnic and enjoy a meal around the picnic table. There’s also a selection of cold drinks and light snacks in the checkout building, and they usually have food trucks during the busy season.

Sherwood Gardens

🍽 Food: bring a picnic, and be sure to take your trash with you! There are no trash cans on site.

Cherry Blossoms at Ft. McHenry

⏰ Hours: 9:00 AM-4:00 PM September-May, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM in the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
💰Admission: Purchase tickets online in advance OR at the visitor center for $15 for visitors ages 16 years and up to enter the historic zone and fort; no admission to walk around the grounds

🌟Features: gorgeous cherry blossoms without the hassle of DC! Bathrooms inside the visitor center; paved sidewalks around the perimeter of the park (the blossoms can be viewed from the sidewalk)

Strawberry Picking at Gorman Farm

⏰ Hours: Daily, 10-6 on weekdays; 10-4 on weekends
💰Admission: Free admission; pay per pound (price unavailable online)

🍽 Food/Concessions: N/A but we packed a picnic last year and enjoyed it under a big shady tree

Lavender Fest
