2025 Client Superlatives | A Year of Family Photography in Baltimore
What a year. As a Baltimore family photographer, 2025 brought some of my favorite moments behind the camera — from sunset-soaked overlooks to cozy in-home snuggles. As I wrapped up the season, I found myself reflecting on the families who made me laugh, made me pause, and reminded me why I love documenting this fleeting season of childhood and connection.
So, in the spirit of fun, I’m handing out some completely unofficial, absolutely heartfelt Client Superlatives — a lighthearted way to celebrate the moments, places, and connections that made this year so special.
A bucket list session! Between the sunsets spilling over the rocks, the calm of the river (so different from how it runs through other parts of the park), and the endless texture of trees and cliffs, Great Falls delivered pure visual poetry. It’s one of those locations where every step feels like stepping onto a movie set.

Simon’s freckles were an instant standout — perfectly dusted across his cheeks and nose like nature’s own confetti. They added the sweetest charm to every close-up.

This sweet winter session felt like stepping into a warm blanket. Curled up on the couch, the Carmens brought the softest, coziest energy — a perfect example of how special in-home family sessions can be during the colder months.

This family always shows up looking effortlessly cohesive, with tones and textures that fall into place like they planned it weeks in advance (even though they swear they didn’t). The result is visual harmony without any stress.

These siblings showed up ready to care for one another in every moment — playful, closely bonded, and genuinely looking out for each other. Their connection shines through every frame.

These two climbed the tree like it was their second home — completely unbothered, fully confident, and totally delighted. Their adventurous spirits led to one of my most playful images of the year.

Ryan walked right up and wrapped me in a hug almost immediately. Anyone who’s parented a two year old knows how precocious they can be, so this felt like a win right off the top.

In the final fifteen minutes of this session, the clouds cleared at just the right moment, bathing everything in the most beautiful golden light. It was one of those rare, quiet endings that photographers dream about.

This session had me laughing so hard my cheeks hurt on the drive home. Between quick parent wit, hilarious toddler timing, and perfectly expressive newborn moments, it was a joyful reminder that newborn life is often just as funny as it is tender.

Cromwell Valley Park offers an incredible variety of texture, color, and scenery throughout the year. From the lush children’s garden in the summer, to goldenrod in late summer, stunning fall foliage, and creek exploration on warm days, it’s a location that feels fresh every season — and always photographs beautifully.

Looking back on these moments is a reminder that every family brings something uniquely beautiful to their session, whether it’s laughter, tenderness, adventure, or quiet connection. From in-home newborn sessions to outdoor family photos around Baltimore, it’s a privilege to document these fleeting seasons.
If you’re dreaming about a family session in the year ahead, at home or outdoors, I’d love to help you plan something meaningful and true to your family.
