You just wrapped up your in home Baltimore newborn session, woo hoo! Take a deep breath, the hard part is done. If you’re wondering what happens next, let me take you along the same journey your photos take. From the raw and beautiful moments we captured together to the lovely, heart-squeezing images (ya know, the ones that just tug your heart!) that will soon be in your hands, my process is always the same.

What happens after your newborn session

After our session, I import your images to my computer, and back them up onto two separate hard drives. This keeps your images safe, because sometimes things happen. With multiple back ups, there’s no worry about the safety of your precious images! After I’ve secured your images in multiple places, I leave your images alone for a few days. Why do I do this?

Because I want to approach your images with fresh eyes and fresh energy to give you the very best. The first look through is to eliminate anything that is unintentionally blurry or a duplicate. Then, your images wait in line to be retouched and transformed into lively, vibrant images.

The end result is a full, beautiful gallery of moments both big and little. The whole family snuggled up, soaking in the wild joy your little one has breathed into your family. Daddy’s strong hands gently cradling a tiny, fuzzy head. Your baby nestled up to your breast, seeking nourishment, comfort and security.

Navigating your online gallery

When you book your in home newborn session (LINK TO BENEFITS OF IN HOME) with me, a private nook on the internet is created, just for your images. This password protected gallery is where you’ll first fall in love with your images. From here, you’ll be able to download your high-resolution digital files, either all at once or hand pick your top favorites to save individually. From your gallery, you also have the option to order birth announcements and prints from a professional lab for incredibly easy and convenient ordering. If you have a computer or external hard drive, I strongly encourage you to back up your files here, and not just on your phone.

The journey of your newborn session album

Once your gallery of images are in your hands, I start the process of creating your album. I know our world is becoming increasingly digital but nothing beats a tangible print or album to hold in your hands, snuggled up on the couch with your loved ones while you pore over your memories.

I handle every aspect of your album’s creation from carefully selecting images to tell your story, designing your album, and ordering it. Within approximately two weeks of receiving your gallery, your album will arrive to your front door. It’s quick, easy, and beautiful. That’s a win-win-win.
