What Happens After Your Maternity Session | Baltimore Maternity Photographer
You did it!
You showed up, stepped in front of the camera, and let yourself be seen in a season that can feel both beautiful and unfamiliar at the same time.
So what happens next?
The evening of your session, I begin by carefully uploading and backing up your images. They’re saved in multiple places right away, because your photos deserve to be protected.
And then… I wait.
Not because I’m not excited, but because I am.
I give it a couple of days before I begin editing so I can come back to your images with fresh eyes. It allows me to see what’s really there, not just what I remember in the moment.
When I sit down to go through your images, I’m not just looking for what looks “perfect.”
I’m looking for what feels like you.
The way your hands naturally rest on your belly. The small, quiet expressions. The in-between moments that might not seem like much now, but will mean everything later.
I narrow your gallery down to the images that best tell the story of this season, and then I begin refining them.
This part is gentle.
Removing small distractions, adjusting light and color, and refining each image so it feels natural and true to the moment.
When your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private, password-protected link where you’ll see your images for the first time.
You’ll be able to download your images directly from your gallery, either individually or all at once. I recommend downloading them onto a computer and backing them up somewhere safe, like an external hard drive or Google Drive, so they’re always protected.
Your gallery will be available for a limited time, so be sure to download everything before it expires.
After you’ve received your images, I begin working on your album because these photos deserve to live somewhere more permanent than your phone.
There’s something different about holding this season in your hands. Turning the pages. Seeing yourself in it. Remembering what this felt like, not just what it looked like.
Your album is designed for you, start to finish. I select the images, create a cohesive layout, and handle the ordering so it arrives ready to be part of your home.
You can expect it within one month after your gallery is delivered.
This part of the process is quiet, but it matters.
It’s where your images take shape into something you can come back to, months from now, years from now, when this version of you feels a little further away.
